Ariadna (Ari) Cheremeteff

As a lifelong Rochesterian, R.I.T. Alum, and an environmental engineer, I’ve long envisioned making the Genesee River a premier, accessible destination. I am thrilled to be part of Genesee RiverWatch to protect and enhance our local waterways and their surrounding ecosystems, ensuring these natural resources thrive for generations to enjoy.

My over 20-year professional career as an environmental consultant has provided ample opportunities to work along both the east and west banks of the Genesee River including projects on Mt. Hope Avenue and Ford Street, the former Vacuum Oil property, West River Wall Segments 1 and 2, the Brewery Trail, Running Track Bridge, RG&E Station 5, as well as compliance data gathering and reporting at Kodak Park’s wastewater treatment facility, formerly known as King’s Landing.

In my free time I love spending time with my son paddle boarding, surfing, mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as bird and whale watching. I am also proud to serve on the Town of Penfield’s Energy and Environmental Conservation Committee and am an active board member of the Genesee Finger Lakes Air and Waste Management Association.
