
Charlie grew up near Cleveland, OH, but spent almost every weekend as a child on his family’s small farm in Ellicottville, NY. Exploring the woods of Cattaraugus County piqued his interest in all things flora and fauna. His father taught him how to fish, and this sparked a lifelong love affair with lakes, rivers, and streams. He has spent time canoeing the Yukon, Youghiogheny, and Ohio Rivers.
Charlie owns and operates a large dairy in Cuba, NY. His work with Genesee RiverWatch began when George Thomas, Executive Director, and he worked together to repair a large section of the Genesee River in Allegany County that borders his farm.
Charlie lives in Ellicottville, NY with his wife and two children. He received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University.
