Genesee RiverWatch is hosting its annual Genesee River Basin Summit on Tuesday, November 10, at the Jamieson Ritter Memorial Lodge in Webster Park, 1122 Lake Road, Webster, NY. The topic of this year’s Summit is “Phosphorus”. Join us as we bring together stakeholders, experts and community members to learn about active efforts to reduce phosphorus pollution from wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) across the Genesee River watershed.
Highlights for the morning include presentations and discussions on:
- phosphorus in the Genesee River basin,
- water quality standards for phosphorus, and
- reducing phosphorus loads from wastewater treatment plants
In addition, we will also announce the recipient of the Elizabeth Thorndike Environmental Leadership Award, an annual opportunity to recognize the contributions of local environmental champions.
Lastly, this event will provide valuable networking opportunities, fostering collaboration among attendees as we work together towards effective environmental initiatives.
